In July, I was able to take a class to keep my certificate current. I had a blast being a biologist for a day. We went up to the salmon trap at the South Fork of the Salmon River and separated the hatchery salmon from the wild salmon. It was a good run this year with about 40% of the returning salmon being wild. Here is a picture of me holding an endangered species. This is a wild female salmon that got to go back to the river to the breeding grounds. It was a fun change from just being a mom!
